Outcomes of the project

Activities and experiences of the project are made available for other cities in the Baltic Sea Region and in Europe as an on-line tool – Knowledge Management Database and Stakeholder Involvement Toolkit (KMD).

Knowledge Management Database (KMD) will help local authorities in regards to sustainable development through gathering good practices and tools for their further use. KMD offers a unique platform for benchmarking in the Baltic Sea Region.

Stakeholder Involvement Toolkit (SIT) for all local authorities is one of the most important outcomes of the project.

SIT (published in English and Russia) will be the comprehensive guide for the local authorities on how to include different stakeholders in the decision making process. Stakeholder involvement is prerequisite for integrated and cross-sectoral work promoting Sustainable Development and lack of integration is identified as an obstacle to Sustainable Development.
